As the creators of ‘Time & Tide’ wearable art, Craig and Alison have called the Sunshine Coast home for many years and have found their passion in handcrafted wearable art.
Both have a background in craft and design, and have recently combined their creative talents and their love of beautiful old things to craft these unique up-cycled jewellery pieces. Each is hand made from vintage EPNS silverware and antique mechanical watch parts. The parts have been sourced from all corners of the globe and many are over 100 yrs old. Look closely and you can see rubies in the mechanical watch mechanisms. It’s wonderful to see these exquisitely beautiful but discarded treasures reborn and it is curious to ponder who owned and cherished them in a bygone era.
The resin used is eco friendly, utilising technology sourcing renewable materials from plantation pine wood pulp and biofuel production. The earring posts are surgical steel. As the name suggests ‘Time and Tide’ also has a connection with the ocean, jewellery is fashioned from found sea glass, decorative and fossilised shells, pebbles and nautical objects.
